Iligan City: Sta. Elena

Four school buildings were donated by Pilmico Foods Corporation to the Tomas Cabili National High School Annex - Sta. Elena, a new school situated within a relocation site for Iliganons who were displaced by Sendong. Here are some snaps of the turnover ceremony last August 6.

The four buildings were built at a total cost of P25-million, the biggest corporate social responsibility project of Pilmico, which operates a flour mill and feeds mill in the city.

There are 24 classrooms in all.

In addition to more than 300 highschoolers there are close to 100 kinder pupils who use the classrooms.

Students perform a musical number in appreciation of the donation.

The relocation site is named Bayanihan Sa Iligan Village, a 15.9-hectare residential area of more than 1,700 houses.
